iVocaloid available on iPhone, iPod and iPad !

Yamaha Corp. has released iOS version of their vocaloid software, iVocaloid. It’s sell only on the Japanese iTunes Store for 1800 yen.

Miku Append is now released !

「Hatsune Miku Append」 is the upgraded version of the original voice-synthesis software VOCALOID2.

The new voice database will feature 5 new expressions: Soft, Dark, Solid, Vivid, and Sweet. The official website was recently updated with some demos of these new expressions.

It can be purchased on Amazon.co.jp for 16,800 yen.

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Miku on Spanish TV show

Music Technology Group has posted an interesting interview with Xavier Serra (Professor in a University specialized in sound and music computing in Barcelona, Spain).

They talk about transforming voice software and demonstrate one a called “KaleivoiceCope“.

“VOCALOID triumph in Japan” is the final subject of the show. Xavier Serra explain how it works.

VOCALOID2 gets update, Miku Append release date announced !

Crypton updates with new voice bank its famous virtual singer VOCALOID2 also known as Hatsune Miku. We have now a « Soft », « Dark », « Sweet », « Solid » and « VIVID » voice for Miku.

This upgraded version of the software named “Miku Append” due out in stores April 30th — retail priced at 16,800 JPY.

Announcement: New categories and explanations

Hi everyone ! Again it’s Dlyan. I’m sure you’ve already notice them but I officially announce the new categories.

You’ll find a quick access in the sidebar.

• Electro.

All news regarding capsule, Nakata Yasutaka, MEG, Perfume and Electro music will be put in here.

• VOCALOID.

No need to explain, you’ll find every Sunday an original song selection that I choose.

• Jazz/Fusion.

News? Not really news but more like “the best of …” T-Square, Casiopea, and other Jazz artists. Every 1st of the month I’ll select a cool song of this old time.

• Indies.

“Indies” is may be not the right word because this category will regroup many things…

First, It’ll regroup many Japanese artists who deserve to get more popularity like RADWIMPS, Base Ball Bear, NICO Touches the Walls, superfly, Sambomaster, Snorkel, … etc. (You have understood.)

Second, you’ll also find few archive’s videos from artists during their Indies time. (So old, old old videos and sometimes rare!)

And third, a sub-category named “Spotlight” where you will find various unknown artists, people like you and me who write songs, cover songs, etc and post their performance on Youtube, Dailymotion or NicoNico. (May be one of them will become famous one day …)

• Original Soundtrack.

Various release from famous and great composers of  Video game, Cinema or Anime industry.

Again, these categories won’t be frequently update because they are not popular as J-Pop or J-Rock are. Some have not much activities… but please take a look from time to time.

It’ll give more variety to this website now.

Announcement: ~ listen the world ~ “Magazine” category

I opened a new category named “Magazine“.As you know I’m not write a lot, just few sentences here and here that’s all but by writing articles it will give me a opportunity to share my opinion, my feelings and practicing my English. ^^

So next to regular news, you’ll find now “Magazine” category (Shortcut in the left bar)  it will regroup articles I personally wrote. It’s not totally objective because I describe my personal vision, with my own knowledges on the subject, it’s just to give you an idea and let you think about it to make your own opinion.

It talks about various subject with regards to music, Japanese music particularly. I think it will give more interest in my blog. I’ll try to write a least an article a month.

This month featured article is “Introduction to Vocaloid“, this article describe how and why Vocaloid became popular.

Play Aion on Windows 7 32 Bits

Pré-commandez Aion! Sortie: 25 Septembre 2009.

It’s off topic but it should help some Aion’s players.

For “error 0” please refer to this topic.

Many people got the “error 114” when they try to launch on Windows 7 (and may be on Vista too).

Here are my settings to run Aion on Windows 7:

• Windows 7 Build 7600 32 Bits + Avast Home V4.8 + Comodo Firewall 3.10.102363.531 + Aion 1.0.2.14

Comodo must be install WITHOUT “Defense +” please select “Only Firewall” when you install it. Once install deactivate Windows firewall. My firewall is set to default options.

I’m using Windows XP SP3 Compatibility and Aion must be launched with with admin rights.

EDIT: Aion has been updated to avoid to deactivate the anti-virus.

For Avast, you should hit “Pause” or even “Terminate” to the “Standard Shield” service before launched Aion. (Re-launch it only after you quit the game.)

Gameguard should update to the latest version (Which should support Windows 7 … ).

After that Aion should launched normally:
