Apple has posted a podcast [iTunes Link] and QuickTime stream for yesterday’’s media event which brought a number of new announcements:

- Apple Releases iTunes 9: New Media Syncing Options, Genius Mixes, iPhone App Organization
- Apple’s Focus on Games: Madden NFL 10, Nova, Assassin’s Creed, Riddim Ribbon
- Apple Updates Entire iPod Family, Bringing Capacity and Performance Bumps to iPod Touch and Video Camera to iPod Nano
- Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch

iPhone OS 3.0 is out!

Apple today released the long-awaited iPhone OS 3.0 (Build 7A341) for both iPhone and iPod touch via iTunes. Users should sync their devices with iTunes and check for updates in order to access the new version.

iPod Touch owners will need to purchase the new firmware for $9.95 while iPhone owners will get the firmware downloaded automatically.

Apple New 4GB iPod Shuffle

Apple released two new iPod Shuffles with an even smaller design today.

The new 4GB devices are priced at $79 and can hold up to 1000 songs. These new iPod Shuffles adopt a more vertical shape than the previous model, but are smaller overall.

Apple also added a new “VoiceOver” feature that allows the iPod shuffle to speak your song titles, artists and playlist names. All of the controls are located on the earphone cord. [...]

MacWorld 2009: iTunes drops DRM!

Finally iTunes drops DRMs !

Phil Schiller has announced that more than 6 Billions songs were sold on iTunes and also Apple has 75 millions of iTunes customers accounts.

iTunes Store will offer pricing in three tiers $0.69, $0.9, $1.29.

All songs purchased on iTunes will be DRM-free by the end of March.

iPhone users will be able to purchase on iTunes via 3G
