Sunday’s VOCALOID: Starduster

17 10 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

A other great song from OneRoom titled “Starduster“, worth listening.

If you prefer real vocal, here is the cover by mi-mu: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk4VoQbtgDo

Bio:

JimmyThumb-P (ジミーサムP) (Jimmysam-P, OneRoom) was one of the late new faces. His first work was uploaded in Sep, 2008 that passed more than a year since Hatsune Miku was released. His producer name comes from “地味なサムネ” (jimina samune = quiet thumbnail). The thumbnail of his video is usually quiet. So, many PV versions of his songs were made by his fans. He is characterized by music with thickness and clear sound quality and uploading works at a very speedy pace.

one-room = A room in one-room apartment. And, original author’s name is “OneRoom” (“…P” is the another one in Niconico).

Sunday’s VOCALOID: from Y to Y

2 05 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

This song was released on March 24, 2009, it’s includes in OneRoom’s album “Toy Box

from Y to Y = “from A to Z.” Or the words that is written on rings, is original author’s sad memory.
Y = His initial or somebody’s initial who he had loved. They are the same by coincidence.

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Hope

4 04 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

Not usual but here is a cool VOCALOID song or should I say VOCAROCK song.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find a lot of information on yuyoyupe but he’s mainly a VOCAROCK composer. I recommend to listen also to Yuyoyupe feat. Hatsune Miku – Despair, because these two songs  (Hope and Despair) goes “together” and can be considered as a unique song.

I’ll also put the vocal cover by DECO*27 that I introduced last week.

A other yuyoyupe’s song to check: Yuyoyupe feat. Hatsune Miku – Lost Story

Music: yuyoyupe.
Lyrics : yuyoyupe.

New VOCALOID composer to introduce, DECO*27.

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Railroad Crossing

21 03 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

Totally different style from wowoka, millstones is much more electro-pop. He has the gift to create addicting intro which makes you want to listen the entire song. Original thing this time, we don’t have 1 but 3 singers: Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, GUMI.

This VOCALOID composer was already featured here with “Kanou Sekai no Rondo“, his new song is titled “Railroad Crossing“. His new song has reached rank 11 in VOCALOID RANKING #128 this week just before Dixie FlatlineJust Be Friends.

The video is not complete (only 3min), I don’t know why. The entire song duration is about 6min and can be downloaded for free !

Bio:

Millstones is originally a producer of non-Vocaloid MAD in which he uses his original music. He has some hit works of MAD which got tens of thousands of view counts. On the other hand, his Vocaloid works could not get more than 3,000 view counts for a long time although he produced 6 Vocaloid works since Nov.2008. In Dec.2009, his 7th Vocaloid work got tens of thousands of view counts suddenly.

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Ura-omote Lovers

14 02 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

Happy Valentine day !

This song titled “Ura-omote Lovers” (Two-Faced Lovers) is still very popular on NicoNico Douga (Ranked #8 on VOCALOID Ranking this week).

This song is very weird at first, for all VOCALOID songs I’m will say but especially this one because of the high pace/pitch of the vocal. You’ll understand what I’m talking about when you’ll try to read the lyrics ! :)

A really upbeat and funny song in sum.

It’s sort of wowaka’s touch, his compositions are quite unique and original.

His latest album “World 0123456789 was released on February 7, 2010.

I recommend the track: “Tsumiki no Ningyou” (The doll of the building blocks) in the same style as “Ura-omote Lovers

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Just Be Friends

31 01 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

A other VOCALOID song, I’ve listened a lot this week, it’s titled! “Just Be Friends“.

This time the song is featuring Megurine Luka (N°3) and not Hatsune Miku (N°1). At first it’ll sound weird for non-Luka fans but I definitively recommend this song for those who like Electo/Pop genre. If you don’t like Electro check the Piano version available on Youtube.

Bio:

Dixie Flatline (ジェミニの人, Gemini no Hito) is skillful in composing relaxing electronica ballads, hip-hop, and R&B. He is the author of the hit song “Gemini,” his first work. His popularity has remained stable since then; his songs “Sweetie x 2″, “Juvenile”, and “Just Be Friends” have all gained considerable popularity. His name comes from a character in the SF novel “Neuromancer” by William F. Gibson, which he likes. Though he is called the “Gemini no Hito” (person of Gemini) it is only because of the popularity of his song “Gemini”: he is actually a Virgo.

Dixie Flatline’s works can be seen on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=57AD5685E1E05583

Sunday’s VOCALOID: Ronde of Possible World

24 01 2010

An original VOCALOID song selection.

This song is featuring Hatsune Miku and is titled “Ronde of Possible World“. The intro catch immediately my attention that’s what I let play the video listening the remaining of the song.

A really pleasant song to add in your MP3 player.
