In a recent interview with Yahoo Japan, Utada Hikaru has revealed that she’s working on her next Japanese single.

In the part 5: Question from her fan; “Are you going to continue working both as Utada and Utada Hikaru?” and she answers yes. Utada says she’s already recording her next Japanese song.
Its titled “9-sai no omoide” (9-year-old’s Memories) and should be release on August 21th, 2009.
The single seems to be released under New Century Records and not EMI Japan…
The interesting point is that U3’s album “STAR” was released under New Century Records when she was 9, so it may be unreleased U3 (also known as Utada 3) or something.
