The first of X Japan’s three reunion concerts took place on Friday. Before the second concert on Saturday, the band held an urgent press conference to announce that they have finalized plans for a performance in Paris on July 5 (possibly at Japan Expo).
Nikkan Sports is reporting that X-Japan will be performing in France in front of 20,000 fans on July 5th.

It also mentions “With 5 people” so it looks like there will be a set guitarist. July 5th happens to be the 3rd day of France’s Japan Expo which Yoshiki had previously appeared at.
Hopefully this is true for all you out there working on the “Bring X to Europe” project.
Yoshiki also explained at the press conference that the 2-hour-20-minute delay for the first show was caused by equipment problems. And although Yoshiki fainted after the band’s 8th song on Friday, he was in fine condition for Saturday’s performance, which started on time and was completed with a full 13-song set, including a drum solo by Yoshiki that reportedly lasted 20 minutes.
Remember, Yoshiki already came in France previous year at the convention, the Japan Expo 8 to talk about his project for X :

They expected 20.000 people while L’Arc~en~Ciel should reach the 6000 seats in “Le Zénith”.
“Bercy”, a bigger stage are already taken by the convention: “Mondial du GAMING” on 4 to 6 July:
So they must look for a other place, but they should probably make 2 x 10.000…Wait & See.

Ah that’s cool, I’ve always checked JaME World for the info, but I was getting worried since it’s getting relatively close to the date now, and still no info, I was a little worried if maybe it had been announced elsewhere and JaME World had’nt got the info yet.

Seems that they are still trying to get the right venue, and as such it might be possible that the date changes, who knows, only time will tell!

It seems that there is an issue with the venue for Paris. A member of Yoshiki mobile wrote about it in her blog. According to her the Japan Expo venue is lacking in equipment so they have to change venues. So now they’re searching for a new one.
This is probably the reason why there is no information about the ticket sale yet. But there is no official anouncment about changes or tickets so far.
Yoshiki will travel to Korea next week and there will be an anouncement on June, 8th.”

Well supposedly the tour is now going to be postponed due to Yoshiki re aggravating his neck injury… I am glad I didn’t already plan the flights/hotel like many others have done already… Let’s hope they plan it towards the end of the year or closer!
