It was the theme song for a Japanese television drama called Hero, Utada made a cameo appearance as well as her acting debut in this drama as a waitress. “Can You Keep A Secret?” debuted at #1 on the Oricon charts, selling 783,620 in its first week. The single has sold 1,485,000 to date.It is her last single to sell over million copies.

The music video for this song included a robot, whom Hikki appeared to be in a relationship with.
